I always grew up a few hours away from Washington DC but only visited for the first time a few years ago! We were lucky enough to get there on a day when there was a beautiful rainbow arching over the Washington monument!
That sounds wonderful – when I was there it absolutely poured it down and was so unbelievably grey, so I’m glad you got to see some beauty in the rain!
