An article that does what it says on the tin – in reverse order, here’s my top 10 things to do in Sydney!
10) Gobble down the catch of the day at Sydney Fish Market.
9) Hop on a boat at Circular Quay for spectacular views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
8) Walk with the body beautiful from Bondi to Coogee beach.
7) Forget about the Bondi Icebergs pool and take a FREE dip at the Bronte Baths, an ocean pool built into the cliffside.
6) Stroll through the Royal Botanic Gardens and take in the views from Mrs Macquarie’s Chair.
5) Have a beer whilst sat at the best seat outside of the house – next to the Opera House and across the water from the Harbour Bridge (at Opera Kitchen).
4) Have fish and chips for lunch at Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel, before spending the afternoon on the nearby Camp Cove beach, followed by a walk to the Hornby Lighthouse.
3) Take a ferry to Manly for a day at a beautiful beach.
2) Walk through the The Rocks, the birthplace of modern Sydney, and have a(nother) drink at The Glenmore Hotel.
1) Visit the city over New Year’s Eve and watch the spectacular firework display.
Great post š
Thank you! It’s such a wonderful city š
Brilliant! Haha
Great post and I can’t disagree with any of your choices. Absolutely love Sydney. Haven’t made a New Year’s Eve there yet but hope springs eternal. I’ve been told that they install a dance floor on the top of the bridge for some special occasions but not something I could handle…
Definitely one of my favourite trips – I love both city breaks and beach retreats, so I’m a big fan of places that combine both! Wow wish I’d known about that dance floor before, definitely would have thrown some shapes after a few too many VB’s on NYE haha
Been to New Zealand and Perth, but Sydney is next on my wish list. Thanks for the tips.
No problem – hope you manage to make it there soon! You’ll have to send me some recommendations for NZ, I’m desperate to visit one day!
I only had a quick visit this January but can’t wait to go back once the lockdown is over in Aus. š
Yes it’s such a fun city! Hope you’re keeping safe in Melbourne – I loved it there too! š
Amazing! My daughter plans to attend college in Australia. Great post
Wow – good for her! What will she be studying? I have to say I am very jealous, I couldnāt be much further away living in the U.K. and I absolutely loved Australia
This is next on my bucket list! Thanks for sharing š
Watching Vivid from the Sydney tower eye is nice too – it gives a different perspective āŗļø
Thanks for the tip! š
